We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our team at Uspio.ltd.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing databases across all our projects, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational databases for various projects, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Work closely with development teams to understand data requirements and provide database solutions that support application needs.
• Optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and storage management.
• Implement and maintain database monitoring, backup, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with DevOps to manage database deployments and configurations within AWS environments, utilizing managed services where applicable.
• Develop and enforce database standards, best practices, and security protocols across all projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing expert support to development teams.
• Participate in the design of data models and schemas to support application requirements and business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in database engineering, with a strong focus on performance optimization and scalability.
• Extensive experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as non-relational databases such as Redis and ClickHouse.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Knowledge of database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, and security management.
• Experience working with cloud-based database solutions, particularly within AWS environments (e.g., RDS, Aurora).
• Familiarity with data modeling and schema design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems is a plus.
